The Musings of a Procrastinator

There are 2 things in life that I have been blessed with...
Procrastination...and...Procrastination. Maybe a little more Procrastination...
I've resigned myself to the fact that this is not only a matter of genes but mostly a serious lack of willpower. As much as I would like to say "I was born like this" it's really not a fair statement. When I open a computer my fingers automatically being with "www.face...." before I realize what I'm doing. Really...facebook has been ingrained into every fiber of my brain. And as you can see at this very moment in time I am avoiding studying and writing a blog post..something I normally hate doing. Oh the joys of being me.

Currently I'm living with an ex procrastinator (jerome...not andria). For anyone who knows andria I think the word procrastination would be at the farthest reaches of your mind. Jerome has succeeded in almost completely banishing this horrendous trait we both seem to possess. I think the main problem with my courses of late is the fact that I'm relearning things. I'm retaking Biology 12 because I need an 86...and I got an 85% in High School. Do you have any idea how frustrating it is to put time and energy into a subject that you already did really well in! I seem to be cursed with this recurring idea because I also need 86 in English 12 and Chemistry 11. I invite you to guess what lauren's final score in those courses were...CORRECT...a fantastic 85%. Only I would manage to score one percent away from an A and have to retake three courses.

I've also lived my whole life with Deanna. For anyone who knows deanna you would understand how amusing it is that we're so different. This is for a number of different reasons but I really think that if you combined her and me you would have a seriously AMAZING person. Let me explain:
1. Deanna is a teehee Keener (she hates that word but I mean it in a nice way) It's good that she is but sometimes she works too hard on things that don't need so much effort. I, on the other hand, am the epitome  of laziness teehee. I have also mastered the ability to determine what is worth my time and what isn't. So if you put our personalities together you would have someone who can determine something worth studying for...and who actually studies for it...
2. Personality! I'm an extrovert...in most cases. Only problem is that I talk a lot when I'm nervous and need deanna to slap me to shut up. Deanna on the other hand...is a medi-introvert. (you can't classify her as an introvert because she's not) But usually when meeting people I initiate conversation and deanna sustains the conversation. One of the hardest things for me to do was travel across the world without her! ackk...I guess twins have to be separated at some point in their life. So in this case if you put me and deanna together you would have someone who can initiate conversation and maintain it!
3. This doesn't really apply to a combined person but I had to comment on mine and deanna's looks. When I volunteered this past week at Chrismar I did a home visit and the lady (I had just met) looked at me and said "you came back." I was very taken aback until I realized that she thought I was deanna. This is a definite first for me. Our whole lives me and deanna have been complete opposites. People here in the church can't seem to get over how different we are. We do look like sisters but...
1. She's left handed and I'm right handed
2. I have glasses and she doesn't
3. She has blue eyes and I have brown
4. She's 5'10 and I'm 5'7
5. I have my ears pierced (and my nose :P) and deanna has none
I'm sure there are more differences but these are the obvious ones. But I love her to pieces and I will never complain that we are so different. One thing I find people do a lot with twins is that people combine them into one person.
If you've done that...don't...it's offensive.
The worst worst WORST thing I've ever heard was when someone said to me "when you date one twin you date them both." However, me and deanna have been blessed with different friends and different personalities and we compliment each other fantastically. I don't think anyone would ever talk about us as one person.

That was a very random blog post...not going to lie...now I'm going to go attempt to work...ahh...nahhhhhhhh :)
My amazing sister and I :D
